Catechesis aims at putting “people...in communion...with Jesus Christ:  only he can lead
us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity.”  CCC 426

 

Religious Education Classes

Instruction for children in grades K-10 takes place on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. from September through April.  Students in Grade 11 meet on the same evenings, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.¬† All classes are held at the St. Gregory Parish Community Center (former school).

Sacrament Preparation
Sacrament preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist begin in the First Grade and these sacraments are ordinarily received in the Second Grade. Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in Ninth Grade with emphasis in Eleventh grade. Confirmation is ordinarily received in Grade Twelve. Parents are asked to participate in helping to prepare their children by attending the meetings and retreat days.
